It's time to start thinking habitat planting! Spring is here, which means it's time to prepare your ground for new habitat and food plots. If you have existing habitat be sure to manage it properly and contact local officials before doing any burn off. Chapter 533 will be having a work session on the seed drill before planting time. We offer free grass seed and food plot seed for those interested. The seed drill is also available for planting. Contact Dick Well, Habitat Director with questions and costs for using the drill. Depending on the selected crop, seeds can be planted as early as April, so make sure to get your seed ordered and the drill reserved for you habitat project! |

The Tippe River Basin Chapter 533 is committed to the restoration and preservation of wild pheasant habitat. We have worked with a number of land owners in Kosciusko and surrounding counties to improve their land to better suit these beautiful birds. We are constantly looking for ways to inform the community about our organization. Not only to grow our membership, but to share the importance of conservation and the benefits it holds for all wildlife and the gift it is for our youth. |
